How Datafi Enhances Sales Teams

Learn how Datafi’s Knowledge Agent boosts sales team productivity by unifying data, delivering secure AI insights, and enabling smarter, faster decisions.
How Datafi Enhances Sales Teams

Sales teams are mission critical to nearly all business organizations. Make what you like, but the benefits don’t come until you convey the value to customers who are willing to pay for what you’ve created.

Against this backdrop, it isn’t surprising that sales and marketing represent the biggest adopters of generative AI, according to research by the consulting group McKinsey. In an article headlined “An unconstrained future: How generative AI could reshape B2B sales,” McKinsey writes: “Those in B2B sales are reporting strong business outcomes and real impact from their initial gen AI builds, and they have told us that they’re eager to do more. At this point, it appears that the widescale adoption of gen AI isn’t just probable but inevitable.”

McKinsey notes that adoption of AI by B2B sellers is still in its early stages, with 21 percent of surveyed commercial leaders reporting fully enabled adoption of generative AI in B2B selling.  “The optimism is palpable, however,” McKinsey writes. “More than 85 percent of surveyed commercial leaders who have deployed gen AI in their organizations report that they’re ‘very excited’ about the technology. They point to improved efficiency, top-line growth, and customer experience as among the most important benefits that gen AI could have for B2B selling.”

CIO.com agrees, recently writing that “CIOs should collaborate with their frontline sales teams to see where gen AI can help increase revenue. For example, inside sales reps using AI to increase call volume and target ideal prospects can improve deal close rates.”

Enhancing Sales Teams with Knowledge Agents

While there are many ways to harness the power of AI, at Datafi we’ve used AI to create powerful AI agents, which we call Knowledge Agents because of their ability to gather information from across an organization’s data ecosystem and translate that data into knowledge that can help everyone—including members of the sales team—perform better.

Datafi works as a unified interface to all of an organization’s data—whether it is stored in a data warehouse, Sharepoint, Snowflake, Salesforce, email, Slack, line of business applications, or any other data stores across an organization’s data ecosystem.

The power of our unified interface is that an employee doesn’t need to know where data is kept. They can just ask their Knowledge Agent a question, and Datafi handles the rest. We also provide a user-friendly chat interface, so employees can ask their questions from the keyboard, or simply by talking to their Knowledge Agent, whichever they prefer.

All of this makes our Knowledge Agent ideal for sales organizations, because it gives each member of the team a personalized AI assistant that actually grows smarter, more efficient, and more personalized to the specific needs of each employee. The Knowledge Agent can supercharge each member of the sales team, boosting efficiency and success. Multiplied across a sales organization, the results can be substantial.

Datafi Knowledge Agent can help members of the sales team identify the best prospects to prioritize, detect market changes, and craft custom strategies to help ensure customer value, loyalty, and longevity.

The Superhero of Sales Order Processing

Knowledge Agents can handle time-consuming tasks to free sales reps for making personal connections with their clients. The efficiency boost of empowering sales teams with AI is captured by a recent article in Forbes titled “Could Agentic AI Be The Superhero Of Sales Order Processing?”

Forbes writes: “Unlike traditional automation, which follows rigid, predefined rules, agentic AI adapts, learns and makes intelligent decisions. Think of it as a highly skilled digital assistant that evolves with your business, handling complex order processing with precision and speed.”

The Forbes article notes that AI agents can:

• Instantly match purchase orders with product catalogs, ensuring accurate item selection.

• Predict and resolve potential errors, reducing rejected or incorrect orders.

• Streamline workflows by integrating seamlessly with ERP and CRM systems.

• Automate compliance checks, reducing legal and tax-related risks.

Making all of this even easier to achieve, Datafi provides a user-friendly, no-code, drag-and-drop application framework that makes it easy for anyone to create whatever custom apps they want in order to make their job easier, and their efforts more effective. This means there is no need to request custom applications from internal dev teams, a process that can take months or more. Giving users the ability to create their own custom AI-powered apps unlocks a huge wave of creativity and productivity.

Security and Data Governance

Data security and governance needs to always be safeguarded. The CIO.com article notes: “To drive gen-AI top-line revenue impacts, CIOs should review their data governance priorities and consider proactive data governance and DataOps practices that go beyond risk management objectives. Improving data quality and integrating new data sources to enrich customer and prospect data are vital for applying AI in marketing and sales.”

Datafi builds security and governance into the foundation of its AI architecture. Datafi provides data administrators with the tools to apply policy and governance, including the ability to track data access. For security, Datafi enforces attribute-based access control (ABAC) security that stays with the data, ensuring the contextual security required for AI. ABAC is used by the most security-focused enterprises because it enforces access control at a deeper level, directly on the data itself, enhancing data security. This means that if a person requests data, the Datafi Knowledge Agent will respond only with information they are allowed to see—masking out fields, for example, that contain PII or other sensitive information.

The world of sales is about to be transformed by AI, and Datafi has the personalized Knowledge Agents to make this possible.
